Town Sidewalk Construction - Starting Friday, March 29, 2024

Precision Concrete Cutting will be working in the following areas Friday, March 29th to remove trip hazards from sidewalks: North Pointe neighborhood, Main Street (Northside), Foxfield (Cone Branch Drive, & Gray Fox Court), Woodmere Circle and Green Street. Hydrant Flushing - April 1st - 5th 2024

Middletown's fire hydrants will be flushed the week of April 1st - April 5th, 2024  starting at 9:00 AM each morning until 2:00 PM each day.  Residents may experience fluctuations in water pressure and some sediment in the water.  Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for the hydrant flushing and certainly to limit water usage during this time.  Please do not wash any laundry during your homes zone flushing day. See the link below for your Zone and the dates that affect your area. For more detail, click on the Water/Sewer link under Town Government on the home page of the website. For Zones that are flushed on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, please make sure that your trash receptacles are kept up on the curb to avoid them from washing down the streets.

Middletown Municipal Election Reminder - Monday, April 1, 2024 7AM - 8PM

The Middletown Municipal election will be held Monday, April 1, 2024, from 7:00am until 8:00pm. Voting will take place at the town hall, at 31 West Main Street. Registered voters are asked to access the voting area using the rear entrance to town hall. The entrance is right off the municipal parking lot. There is a handicap accessibility ramp available when using the rear entrance for any voters that may need it.

Roadwork- US Alt 40 from Middletown Parkway east to Braddock Mountain ending at Fern Lane- Starting Monday, March 25, 2024

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will make roadway improvements on US Alternate 40 (Old National Pike) between Middletown Parkway and Fern Lane, a span of one mile, in Middletown, Frederick County next week.  Starting Monday, March 25, at 8 a.m., crews will close one travel lane and use a flagging operation to maintain two-way traffic. Crews will work weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until expected completion in April, weather permitting.
