Welcome to Brunswick

Planned Water Outage

Due to water line maintenance on Maryland Avenue, the City will be shutting down water service to the following areas on Wednesday, May 15, 2024:

  • Unit block of West Potomac Street
  • Unit block of Petersville Road
  • North and South Maryland Avenue
  • Unit block of East A Street

This outage will affect approximately 47 businesses and residences.  Public Works will be hand delivering notices to all those in the affected area.

The planned outage will take place from 8:30am until approximately 3:00pm, but water could be restored prior to that if the project is completed. Once water is restored, Public Works will need to flush the water system to clear any discolored water or debris, so those located in Zones 2 & 3 of the Hydrant Flushing Map may experience symptoms similar to those of fire hydrant flushing.

Brunswick City Hall is affected in this project area. City Hall will be closed on Wednesday, May 15th, but employees will be teleworking. The best way to reach us is by email at CityHall@BrunswickMD.gov. If you contact us at 301-834-7500 and leave a message, your voice mail will be returned by staff.

Thank you for your patience during this project.
