Generation Connect presents: Keys to Successful Leadership Young Professionals and their bosses are invited to breakfast and a panel discussion with successful leaders in Frederick County. You'll hear several business and nonprofit executives share their leadership journey stories, and you'll have the chance, in a spirited Q&A, to ask them questions about what they've accomplished and how their experiences might influence your own journey to the corporate boardroom. Presenters are as follows: Tammy Feaster, Owner Spherion Staffing Group and Consulting Tammy is the Licensed Owner of Spherion Staffing Group and Consulting one of the world’s largest staffing companies with offices operating in Frederick & Hagerstown, Maryland, Martinsburg, West Virginia and Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Tammy started her career in August of 1994 and gained ownership in 2007. She holds a Maryland State Employment License for transfer of direct hire fees. Tammy is a current member of the Frederick County Human Resources Society since 2005 and has served on the Board of Directors since 2007. Tammy also serves on the Steering Committee for the Chamber of Commerce as of August 2012. Through Tammy’s career she has successfully coached and placed individuals in career paths or with their own personal development. She has an expertise of the employment and market trends which give her the capability to consult businesses on employee relations and how to successfully staff professional and industrial environments.
Patricia Hanberry, MA Ms. Hanberry has served as the Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit Mental Health Association of Frederick County for 14 years. She has been a mental health administrator for 22 years, having also worked at Behavioral Health Partners in Frederick; Cumberland Valley Mental Health Center in Chambersburg, PA and Brook Lane Health Services near Hagerstown, MD. Prior to the mental health field, Ms. Hanberry worked as a management consultant for Touche Ross & Co and for Booz, Allen Hamilton in Washington, D.C.; and as a Peace Corps Volunteer. She received a Master of Arts degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. Ms. Hanberry is an active member of her community, serving on several non-profit and health-related committees as well as the board of the Rotary Club of Frederick County. She is an active member of her church, singing on the choir and serving on the Peace & Justice Committee. She is an avid traveler, having lived in Brazil and Japan, and most recently taking trips to Central America in relation to her work and that of her church; Nigeria as part of Rotary International’s Polio Plus campaign; and Biloxi, Mississippi and New Orleans to engage in housing rehab following Hurricane Katrina. In addition to English, Ms. Hanberry speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese.
Jason Lee, Owner, Top Quality Janitorial Jason Lee is a successful business owner and active member of the Frederick community. A true entrepreneur, he is a self-proclaimed “Janitor” who created the “Jason the Janitor” brand. A partner of Top Quality Janitorial Service, Jason’s personal and business motivation is to inspire all those he comes in contact with to reach their highest potential. He is a native of Frederick and believes the key to a thriving community is active participation from its residents. Jason is a board member of the Carroll Creek Rotary Club, YMCA of Frederick County, United Way of Frederick, Frederick County Work Force Services and the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. Jason provides motivation and inspiration to those seeking to become entrepreneurs as well as those who seek to take their dreams to the next level. Pete Plamondon, Jr. Co-President, The Plamondon Companies Peter Plamondon, Jr., is Co-President of The Plamondon Companies, headquartered in Frederick, MD. The Plamondon Companies own and manage select service Marriott hotels in Frederick and Hagerstown, MD, as well as the trademark and franchise system for Roy Rogers Restaurants. He began working for the Marriott Corporation in the Hotel Division's Sales and Marketing Department in 1981. In 1986, he left the hospitality industry for commercial real estate and was a Vice President with Barrueta & Associates in Washington, DC until 1993. Mr. Plamondon joined his father's business, Plamondon Enterprises, Inc. (a franchisee of Roy Rogers Family Restaurants) in 1993 as Vice President of Real Estate and Construction. He expanded the company into the hotel business by opening a Fairfield Inn by Marriott in the fall of 1996. The Courtyard by Marriott opened in March 1999 and a Residence Inn by Marriott followed in October 2002 both in Frederick. The company expanded into Hagerstown, MD with the opening of a SpringHill Suites by Marriott in December 2006. In 2012, the company opened its most recent hotel in Frederick, TownePlace Suites by Marriott. In 2004, he and his brother, Jim Plamondon, formed Plamondon Hospitality Partners to manage the company's hotels, as well as hotels for third parties.
