Hacking for ransom is a growing cyber threat to business. Ransomware is a type of software that hackers use to hold data hostage by blocking access to file unless business owners agree to pay the ransom. This seminar will empower business owners with the knowledge they need to survive a ransomware attack. MODERATOR
Frank R. Goldstein is the current Chair of the Business Law Section of the Frederick County Bar. A former partner at both DLA Piper and Sidley Austin, he now focuses on corporate finance, business organization, mergers and acquisitions, and the general representation of businesses.

Deke Gaeng is a Risk Management Specialist working with businesses to develop Ransomware avoidance strategies and insurance programs at BB&T Frederick Underwriters. Karen Guthrie, previously a small business owner and in-house lawyer for several Fortune 500 companies, including Sprint and Time Warner Cable, now concentrates her practice on employment and business law. Michelle Leveque is the Founder and principal of Leveque Intellectual Property Law, P.C., has 25 years experience in intellectual property matters, including Patent Office prosecution, trademarks, and licensing. In addition to her law degree, Michelle also has a degree in electrical engineering.
