An Evening with Wayne Rivers, Presented by Northwestern Mutual Chamber Talks continues its speaker series for the Frederick Business Communityat the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with Wayne Rivers, co-founder and President of The Family Business Institute, Inc.
His interactive talk topic is the eight building blocks for creating a sustainable closely held business, and will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
Wayne is the author of three books: The Top Nine Reasons Family Businesses Fail – And the Eight Building Blocks for Creating a SUSTAINABLE Closely Held Business; Prescriptions For a Healthy Family Business; and You Don’t Have To Die To Win – Success and Succession For Family Businesses, and has appeared on the TODAY Show, CNN; MSNBC; CNBC; "BusinessWeek: WEEKEND"; and the Retirement Living Network; as well as being a Wall Street Journal Expert Panelist.
Wayne has been quoted on the subject of family and closely held businesses by The Wall Street Journal; Fortune; BusinessWeek; Entrepreneur; CFO; Family Business; The New York Times; Washington Post; and by other trade, local, regional, and national publications. His talents and expertise leant themselves to being the producer of the acclaimed newsletter, Family Advisor, for over 15 years and writer of hundreds of articles for various magazines and trade publications.
