Hacking for ransom is a growing cyber threat to business. Ransomware is a type of software that hackers use to hold data hostage by blocking access to file unless business owners agree to pay the ransom. James Hatch A Professor of Cybersecurity and Techonology, has been a strategic management consultant for 25 years, has an MBA, MSIT, and is about to obtain a Masters in Digital Forensics and Investigation. Currently the Program Manager for the Cyber Pathways Across Maryland program at Frederick Community College. Michelle Leveque Founder and principal of Leveque Intellectual Property Law, P.C., has 25 years experience in intellectual property matters, including Patent Office prosecution, trademarks, and licensing.
