    SHIP seeks to lift up Frederick County’s homeless youth so that they can realize their best potential, complete their education, and be poised to break the cycle of poverty they find themselves in.

    SHIP provides services to students of Frederick County (MD) Public Schools and their families who are experiencing homelessness, more than 800 students in school year 2019-2020, even before the pandemic. The organization provides advocacy, supplements to education programs, extra-curricular programs, clothing, and even housing for unaccompanied students. SHIP provides school-year and summer programs to help students graduate from high school and ameliorate the effects of homelessness on school and psyche.
