Frederick Health Hospice is a community based non profit dedicated to helping others live fully. Our mission is to positively impact the well-being of every individual in our community affected by serious illness, grief and loss. Hospice is not a place. It is a patient-centered; family oriented approach to care. For the bereaved in our community, we offer at no charge a variety of grief support groups, individual counseling, and camps for children and teens who are grieving. In addition, Frederick Health Hospice offers music therapy and veteran services that are not reimbursed through insurance. All of these services are offered thanks to the generous support of our community.
Hospice is provided in the place where the patient calls home including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospital or at our Kline Hospice House.
Hospice services are paid through Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, many private insurance plans and personal payments. Through generous donations from the community, Frederick Health Hospice is able to continue the mission of caring for all who need us, regardless of their ability to pay.
