Story Tapestries, an arts service organization, engages community members from 0-104 years old in accessible, inclusive arts experiences that meet key objectives in the fields of mental health, economic mobility, academics, family/youth engagement and workforce development. Since 2010, Story Tapestries has engaged 2 million community members, youth and business leaders in engaging arts experiences in multiple languages to find their voice and tell their story. A 501c3 non-profit, Story Tapestries connects a world class network of educators, artists, community leaders and businesses who custom design programs to fit the needs of any individual or organization that requests our services. We partner with organizations like libraries, schools, community centers, and local businesses to connect expert artists with member of the community who are facing significant life challenges like housing insecurieties, economic crises, mental health issues and much more. The arts have the unique power to bridge barriers, such as language, economic status and ethnicity, that can often prevent individuals from achieving their full potential. Story Tapestries’ vision is for every individual to have access to tools and resources that use the arts as a vital form of communication for expression, skills development, enhancement of community connections and celebration of unique voices and stories. Story Tapestries accomplishes this by: providing innovative, custom-designed performances, workshops and hands-on community and educational experiences; designing programs that develop skills, connect individuals, elevate diverse voices and celebrate youth, families, adults, and seniors; and engaging and impacting individuals where they live, work and thrive. ST’s programs: - Train and coach adults to be more effective leaders and educators - Develop local businesses and community organizations' ability to tell their impact story - Engage parents/caregivers and empower them with tools that bring deeper understanding - Directly impact children through in-school and out-of-school programs Partner with Story Tapestries and build a brave, creative space where people find their voice and tell their story, using the arts to elevate voices and celebrate community.
