The SEWcial Café is a creative sewing studio, apparel fabric shop, and community space located in Frederick, Maryland. We offer sewing classes, curated garment kits, and designer-led experiences that invite women to slow down, reconnect with their creativity, and confidently create clothing they feel good wearing. Founded by Dr. ChaCha, whose research focuses on inclusive design, The SEWcial Café centers accessibility, intention, and belonging in every sewing experience. Rooted in the belief that creativity is a form of self-care, the studio was created to provide a supportive, thoughtfully designed environment where sewing is about more than technique—it’s about confidence, expression, and community. Our offerings include in-person and virtual sewing classes, hands-on Sip & Sew events, a seasonal Designer Membership subscription box, and a curated selection of modern apparel fabrics and sewing notions. Each experience is designed with care, emphasizing quality materials, clear guidance, and an unhurried pace that allows participants to fully engage in the creative process.
