Driven by a mission to uplift the most vulnerable in the community, Friends for Neighborhood Progress (FFNP) works tirelessly to break the cycle of homelessness and create lasting change. At the heart of FFNP’s efforts is a firm belief in dignity, compassion, and the transformative power of stable housing paired with individualized support. FFNP is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization that assists low-income residents of Frederick County, MD. Our primary focus is operating a Housing First Permanent Supportive Housing Program, which aims to place chronically homeless and disabled adults into stable housing immediately. Once housed, participants receive customized supportive services to address their critical needs, aiding them in achieving stability and improving their quality of life, and addressing food insecurities.
