Calling all young professionals (age 40 and younger)!

Are you in need of a mentor or coach and don’t know where to start? Generation Connect is teaming up with the Young Professionals Builders Council for Activating Success: Mentoring & Coaching for Young Professionals! This series consists of three 1.5 hour in-person sessions with Jean Radish [OpEx Process Consulting] where participants will be introduced to two critical resources to move forward in their professional development - mentoring and coaching.

Utilizing hands-on activities and group discussions, participants will learn the value of each method and will understand factors that impact the decision to choose a particular method. Effectively leveraging each method provides opportunities to maximize career growth. To facilitate taking action following the workshop, participants will create a script to begin the conversation with a potential mentor or coach.

    Session 1: “What?” - June 20, 2024
This initial session offers a comparison between the methods of mentoring and coaching.

    Session 2: “So What?” - August 22, 2024
Participants begin to explore what to expect when engaging in a mentoring and/or coaching relationship.

    Session 3: “Now What?” - October 24, 2024
Participants have had the opportunity to explore each method and the impact it may have on their contributions to the organization they work for.

    It is important to note:
    -   You must either be a member of the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce or the Frederick County Building Industry Association to participate.
    -   You must be able to attend all three sessions to participate.
    -   Each session will take place at Maryland National Golf Club (8836 Hollow Rd, Middletown, MD 21769) from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
    -   The cost per person is $50 which includes all three sessions, the session materials, and breakfast at each session.
    -   Participants are given worksheets to complete individually outside the workshop time. These worksheets provide personalized insight, details, and clarity needed to fully participate in the sessions.

Registration for this event will open on May 1, 2024 and is open to 30 participants. We expect this event to sell out quickly and encourage you to secure your ticket as soon as possible.
