Powerful Presentation Skills
Certain events in our professional lives can be called “moments of truth.” These events simply carry greater weight and importance than other times in our workday. Making an important presentation is one of those events. Therefore, the presenters and the presentation must consistently communicate the desired image and professionalism. This Lunch and Learn program is designed to help you and/or your team present more effectively and with more significant impact before a group of people, thus making a powerful impression.
Learning Objectives
- Building a presence in front of any group that is powerful, picturesque, confident, dynamic, and professional.
- Helping participants build credibility and sell ideas through structure, impact, delivery, and strong content;
- Looking at some fundamentals of presentations, learning some guidelines and ways to build rapport with an audience
- Using voice, gesture, and non-verbal communication tools to create a strong impression
- Introducing a dedicated question-and-answer period

About Darryl Glick the Mid-Atlantic Master Trainer for Dale Carnegie, bringing 35 years of experience in public and private in-house training. He not only delivers dynamic sessions in leadership, communication, sales, and coaching but also develops and certifies new trainers while mentoring existing ones. Specializing in industries such as construction, retail, non-profits, and finance, he partners closely with organizations to enhance their human resources and training initiatives. His clients include Capital One, FINRA, Giant Food, Clark Construction, and many more.
Before joining Dale Carnegie, Darryl held leadership roles in human resources and the hospitality industry and served as an adjunct professor at American University. He holds dual bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Psychology and has contributed to various professional organizations, including the Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington. An active community member, he serves as Chair of the Personnel Council at his church and previously sat on his alma mater’s Alumni Board.
